Big Pharma offers endless subsidized resort junkets to MDs, where a tiny bit of time in a continuing education seminar that promotes the highest profit new drug is compensated by many hours on deluxe golf courses or sparkling beaches. Apparently, shrinks learn best while sitting in plush vacation spots. The general point is that pharma will squeeze through any crevice that leads to potential influence on doctors. All those crevices need to be sealed tight.
